Tuscan Ruler

Oct 23, 2009

We had a good winner at Warrnambool on Moday in Tuscan Ruler.  He was first up over 1000m and had blinkers on for the first time.  The blinkers really switched him on and he flew the gates sitting just off the pace in the run.  A gap opened at the top of the straight and he kicked a couple of lengths clear.  He was strong all the way to the line and won by around a length.  He was a $3000 purchase and has grown into a very impressive animal and obviously has his share of ability.

Horses don't know what they cost and he was an immature type who was going to take some time to grow into his frame.  There should be more wins in him.

The Spring Carnival is in full swing with the Caulfield Cup having been run and won.  The Cox Plate is this weekend with the Flemington Carnival to follow.

With the racing and Spring weather it is a great time of year.

Happy Punting.
