We have had a quiet time of late.
We have had a few runners and a couple of horses trial well.
Monzero ran at Canbera last Friday and was a little disappointiing second up (after his first up win) He lacked zip and we may have backed him up a little quickly.
Hancox Racing No 4 had another horse make his debut yesterday at Kilmore. African Gem ran well for his first start to fiinish 3rd. He was a little green and should improve for having had the experience.
We also had Arcrtic Point run 5th. He will appreciate more ground in the future. He was appropriately named as it was as cold as the Arctic at Kilmore. With around 25 Hancox owners there on the day we made up a good percentage of the crowd and the only real winner on the day was the man selling the hot drinks.
It took me most of the 2 hour car ride home to warm up.
Shelley has been very busy showing her dogs at the Schnauser show and Royal Melbourne show. There were several winners amongst her dogs and as always a few surprise results. There are six dogs lying around the office at the moment and a litter of 10 downstairs. Nb. it doesn't matter who wins the ribbons the 10 year old bitch, Joey, runs the show here.
