The winners continue to roll in at Hancox Bloodstock.
Hancox Racing No 4 had their first winner on Friday 7th January at Mornington when Spirit Of Many won his Maiden at only his second race start. He was first up and raced in a strongish 1200m Maiden. Freedman had the odds on favourite in the race - that and our outside draw combined and Spirit Of Many paid $26 the win.
He sat 3 wide throughout, covered plenty of ground but was far too strong for them in the run to the line winning comfortably. There was 20 or so very happy owners on course and many more watching in TAB's around the country - HR4 is an 800 share racing club.
He looks a very promising young horse.
Our winning run continued yesterday when Paradise Resort won her Maiden at Cowra. It wasn't the strongest race but she did it tough sitting wide throughout on the tight turning track and storming home from well back in the field to win by a length and a half.
We have also had a few near misses -
Misperception ran 2nd on Saturday after leading by as much as 6 lengths in the run.
Arctic Point finished 3rd at Cranbourne yesterday.
Ariston ran a very close 2nd when storming home from near last at Wodonga last week.
With five individual winners since Christmas and a couple of near misses it is fair to say that our team is on a bit of a roll. May it continue!!!!
Any Tassie owners or anyone interested in racing a horse in Tasmania - we have a lovely big strong gelding by Denon heading to the leading Tas. stable of David and Scott Brunton. He has been broken-in and is ready to start his first prep. Ring Rod or Shelley for details (03) 5274 9171
