Hancox update

Oct 11, 2012

Our team of horses has been performing quite well over recent weeks.  Al Ahmar won two on end and will head to the Queanbeyan Cup on Sunday.  He has now won 7 races and just on $100K.

Miss Del Toro won on debut at Bairnsdale on Sunday.  She is very well named as she is by Benecio and named after the actor - Benecio Del Toro. She was impressive in winning and looks a promising filly.

Nb. I have shares available in a Benecio gelding x Bellsabeel.  Email me if you are interested.

It was a sad day in the office when our "Grand Old Campaigner", Shaville, was recently sold. He was a home bred and has been a stalwart around here for many years. He won 8 races for his syndicate and just shy of $200K.  He was a lot of fun and great value - especially for most of his owners who took up shares under our free replacement policy.

He had reached his mark in Victoria and will race on for new owners in SA and the NT.

We have plenty of horses coming through includig 3 Hancox Racing No 5 horses who are about to trial - Maglissa, Strategic Dancer and Heart Of Many. If we add in Velonski who will be back racing in December we may have some very busy owners around Christmas time.

I currently have shares for sale in;

 1. A 2yo Testa Rossa filly to be trained by Greg Hickman at Warwick Farm.  Testa Rossa has a phenomonal record as a sire with over 73% winners to runners and 10% stakes winners.  He doesn't seem to get the accolades he deserves.  Greg Hickman is a really good trainer (think Sportsman, Sir Dex and Murjilisa Lass)  and one of racings good guys.

2. A big and bold 2yo colt by Mutawaajid x Al Ward. Currently being broken-in. To be trained by Barb Joseph and Paul Jones in Canberra  - Consistently trained winners for us for over 10 years including Group 2 winner Belong To Many for Hancox Racing No 1 Ltd.  Info on the For Sale Page.

3. A very Athletic 2yo colt by Al Samer x Classical Connie.  Broke in to rave reviews. See photo on for sale page.  Good size, strong and very well balanced. To be trained by Greg Eurell at Cranbourne (Apache Cat, Pinker Pinker etc etc)

Canny Lad x Stuyvesant High 3yo filly.

Benecio - Bellsabeel 3yo gelding

Dehere - Cunnamulla Lass 2yo filly

Email or phone me if you are interested.
