News, Tips etc etc

Sep 13, 2013

I have been a little slack on the news front and as racing is hotting up for the Spring I thought itwas time for an update.

We have had plenty of action over recents months and have been lucky enough to salute the judge on many occasions including a terrific first up win by Al Ahmar at Canberra today.  The now 7yo Al Maher gelding is classed as a grand old campaigner, and todays win was the 10th of his career. He is trained by the Baroness of Bombala, Barb Joseph in partnership with her son Paul Jones.  They must be commended on what a great job they have done with Al Ahmar over a long career.

Our recent winners include Heart Of Many who has won 3 races for the prep. including a city win in August.  We hope he can add to that tomorrow at Doomben.

Al Badia (racing later today) and Overnighter won their Maidens in August and Candy Tuft was impressive in winning a benchmark 65 at Canberra two weeks ago - her fourth career win.

Our promising jumper, Viking Tiger, won three races in his most recent campaign. He is very young for a jumper having just turned 5yo and was super impressive when leading all the way to win a BM120 hurdle at Werribee by 7 lengths.  With the grounding he has had this season we are hopeful of more wins next year.

We consistently have horses rolling through our trainers stables to race and have some nice young horses coming through and older horses like Balayeur and Danzoya close to resuming. Keep an eye on our home page for entries and acceptances.

The Spring has brought all the Group horses out and the racing is first class at the moment. As such I thought you may like Shelley's tips - I will endeavour to send them out every Friday over the coming months.
