Been a little quiet on the runner front of late and didn't manage to strike a winner for the month of September.

Quite a few horses have just returned to work and I am expecting plenty of action over the next few months leading up to Christmas.

Upcoming runners

SWIFT TILLY will run at the Gold Coast tomorrow.

CELEBRAKTI will head to Pakenham on the 15th October.

MOSSBEAT is pencilled in to run at Geelong on 21st October.

We also have NOW YOU SEE ready to race for the first time and  TOKEN OF LOVE about to trial and then make her debut,

I have recently added two new horses to our for sale page and they are both worth a look.

1. The AL MAHER filly is just georgous.  Shelley fell in love with her at the Magic Milions sale and despite having already purchased the horses we needed (and the financial controller's (me)  protest) Shelley purchased her anyway.  "Best filly at the sale" she said.

2. A NOT A SINGLE DOUBT colt.  Was immature and not big at the sales (hence the great value) but had plenty of room to grow.  Done well since we purchased him and is ready to be broken-in. If you look at the photo you can see that he has plenty of leg under him and his body will grow into that head one day.  A Very athletic colt.

See the For Sale page on our website for more details.

What a day of racing on Saturday at Caulfield? Rivals Derby Day.

LANKAN RUPEE should win the Schillachi Stakes which wil set up a cracking Darley Classic at Flemington in a few weeks with Chautauqua, Terravista and up and new kid (star) on the block Exosphere.

The Caulfield Stakes looks a crackerjack race - Fawkner is one of my favourites and will run well again.  Lloyd won't want a gut buster though as his main target is the Cox Plate  Kermadec will be favourite and rightly so but I think Pornichet will get a softish run from barrier 3 - he will be rock hard fit and may just take some running down.

Caulfield Guineas - Press Statement is the class horse and looks very hard to beat. I don't mind Dal Cielo who proved to be incredibly tough last start. Tulsa will fly home from well back in the field. NOt sure about Bon Aurum after he fell over yesterday???  I did note that Snoopy is a $35 chance - our horse Classy Al ran him to a head a month ago at Ballarat - not sure what to make of that.

Happy punting Good Luck

Remember - the first step to owning a good horse is.........buying a share in a horse.
